Well life has been okay so far. Good news is that I work for another company part time that I really enjoy. I'm really hoping to get up there in order to move on from the current job that I have. After about five years, it's not what I want to be doing anymore. I know that I want to do technician work on computers and do my writing. I felt so lost without my writing and I have such good ideas that I want to write about. This has to be my year to achieve what I want. I'm going to do everything in my power to make it work.

I miss my friends.. Giancarlo ( I saw your sister, Paola at my other job! I was so excited. I will have to call you when you get back) Alex from the UK, Miss you too and I will find time to chat with you again. Jen lol you I try to talk to when I can. I will be sending out your gift soon! To the rest of ya.. miss ya too and keep in touch! I know with life things get in the way, but it doesn't mean we can't still talk. :-)

Anyways Christmas and New Years were a blur .... but were nice. Got  great gifts. Thank you to all! Take and I promise to write more in this journal this year.... LOL

Let me just say this guy it really sweet and amazing. Been watching the show since the beginning and love it. The story is posted here if anyone is interested in reading it. I look horrible in the pic though... poor me got sick right before, but went on because I wanted to go. It was so hot in that store as well. It's not everyday you get to meet someone you admire. It was great fun with my good friend Rebecca.

The Weekend...

So I'm happy to announce that I got a macbook! I'm looking forward to working on it and using it. I already love it. Other than that I've been doing my writing courses, which I'm having tons of fun! I start my creative writing class for my degree next Tuesday which will be interesting.  Had the day off today from work and got nothing done today. It was so freezing cold here that I dared not go out. So tomorrow I will be getting my taxes together, get some items from the stores, watch some movies and maybe get some writing done.

Heros and Digging for the Truth has started. I love both these shows, but they are on at the same time. Thanks for taping and technology! Well and itunes + ipod! There are so many other shows coming later on in the year so I will have to find a way to keep up with all of them.

Health has been good so far and I plan to keep it that way. Certain foods can be soo tempting though.

Oh Saturday..

So math might be over soon as soon as I finish the evil practice and do the final. Piece of cake... or so I think. Bought some movies to congratulate myself to watch after this over. Some I had to just watch because I heard from a friend that it was sooo predictable... LOL I thought it was pretty good, although short. The Covenant was good, but it was just too short and would have loved a bit more background to it. The cast was good and the guys were perfect for their roles. I also watched Lady in the Water which was also really good. The background and the cast was great.

My new obession, besides watching Heros, writing, and so on has become making my own remixes to songs! Through this thing seems somewhat new.. it fast becomes additicting. The only bad part would be converting to the songs to put on an ipod or otherwise. I've heard of programs that could help, but so far no luck. If you want to check it out it's at http://www.u-myx.com/

Hi all! It's been a long time since I've written. Happy Holiday and New Year to everyone!

As for updates, I'm currently trying to update my journal as well as my website. I've been quite the procrasnator due to school, work, and illness. From Septmeber on, it wasn't fun.. during my birthday I got sick. I got good presents though. Luckily I had taken half day off of work. So then I went to a specialist for my stomach. Turns out I'm lactose intolerant along with several other things. Joy! Oh and the tests... I felt like guinea pig. It was horrible. :(  Then after I found out what I had I ended up with something else.. ugh then I lost my voice most recently. So changing my diet yet again has been very hard. I've gotten sick a couple of times during that time and now I'm doing well.

As for school... I'm almost done with my last math course! I'm so excited! I can't stand math at all and it's been draining. So a couple of more days and that's it for math. I have creative writing next and can't wait to see what that holds.

Chrismtas and New Years... was a bit sad due to not spending it with family. Family couldn't come due to car problems. New Years was spent resting in order to get my voice back. I got great presents and had fun at work sharing gifts and stuff.

Writing.. Well I've started re-writing thanks to Alex whom got me hooked on this new writing program. I've started with Psyche, then moving foward to the next few along with writing Visions. I'm also taking more writing courses and hope to get a lot done this year then I did last year. Along with those accomplishments, I hope to finish my first college degree!

Well that's all folks... take care!

Hugs!

I just had to show off some of my beautiful collection of jewlery.
I've had some of these pieces for years and all come from different parts of the world and from various friends, etc.
This is not the complete collection though, just some of the stuff that I sat to clean today.

One of my favorite authors, Gena Showalter is having a contest on her blog. I just love her books and am a big fan. Check it out!

And now for the Next Contest!! Viral blogging. You could win a signed copy of my entire backlist of books. All you have to do is post the cover of Playing With Fire and all of the required below text (with links) on your blog, then come back here and let me know you posted it on your blog. That's it. You'll then be entered to win! I'll do like I did for this blog commenting contest and allow someone around me to give me a number and whoever posted as that number will be the winner. We'll do this until Sept. 3rd and draw that day. Post the required material as many times as you want during that time, commenting here each time -- and entering each time! No limit. And now for the text and links (it's all of the below: about the book, the links, and about the contest, but don't forget to post the cover too:

Playing With Fire by Gena Showalter

Earth, Wind and Fire aren’t just a band anymore…

Used to be my greatest achievement was holding a job more than three days. Now suddenly I can shoot fireballs, chill your drink, or blow-dry your hair at fifty paces with a blink of my eye!

It all started when this crazy scientist dropped something in my grande mocha latte. Of course I got wicked sick. Next morning I’m waking up with this total hottie bending over me. He tells me 1) his name’s Rome Masters, 2) he’s a government agent and 3) I can control the four elements with a thought.

He seems even less pleased by my (apparently irreversible) transformation that I am. . . because now he’s supposed to kill me. The only good news: I didn’t make this bed of trouble, but Rome sure seems to want me to lie in it. With him.

Read an excerpt

Order your copy from Barnes and Noble or Amazon or Books A Million

And if you’d like a chance to win signed copies of *all* Gena Showalter’s books, all you have to do is post this entry, too. Post the cover, the blurb, the links, and this contest announcement, then head over to Gena’s blog (http://www.genashowalter.blogspot.com ) and let her know you posted the material. A name will be randomly selected on September 3rd from those who do!!

Romance Ebooks....

Cinderella

There are a lot of places to get romance e-books these days. Ebooks are sometimes better to carry around on your laptop or portable device then carrying  a paperback book these days. Don't get me wrong, they haven't completly replaced books for me. Ebooks are easy because they are easy to take with you, but their fonts and font size are completely adjustable! It's also a great way to introudce yourself to the many talented writers out there. So here is a list of places that I recommend to get some great Romance Ebooks by various authors. So enjoy online reading! In my next post I will be naming some of the fun titles that I've read. Please keep in mind that most of these titles and ebooks do have ratings.

Cerridwen Press

Ellora's Cave Romantica Publishing

Liquid Silver Books

Venus Press

You'd think I would actually write more these days. Hi to everyone I haven't spoken to in a long time. Sorry for it as well.. I've just been very busy with a lot of things. Most of them being school the past month or so. Work has also become crazy those last couple of months as well. It seemed that all I wanted to do was come home and not start the same routine again. At the same time I was also taking writing courses which were great and I learned a lot. Too bad that I didn't get to do all the assignments, to them though due to school taking most of time and me nervous to see if I would pass this last class.

Anyways, after the long and stressful time finishing school and work, I then took some time off to travel and visit my best friend, Jen in Canada. We had a lot of fun traveling Ontario. I also got to meet a new friend, Curtis. We met at the Scottish Festival which is held every year in Orillia, Ontario. I took lots of pictures and did lots of shopping as well as eating LOL There is just some Canadian cuisine, that you fall in love with up there that unfortunately, they don't have here in the States.

Now that I'm back and before school starts I hope to get back into my gaols of starting my current novel, Visions and getting my poetry book together. Of course, things don't happen the way you want. I've had a bad luck week .. where things just kept breaking and annoying me. Hopefully with this weeks end, the bad luck will be over and I can get to what I want.

Hello there... it's June already...

Well I've finally decide to write. Things have been good to me so far. Life is nice and quiet. Been having a lot of fun starting a new writing class and getting ready to do Habitat for Humanity. It's where you help build a home for a person in need. I think it's going to be a very good experience for me. I love doing good. Mentoring is going great. Another year with my mentee, Brenda. She's just an amazing kid. I've grown very fond of her. I'm almost done with my current college course. It's going rather well. I can't wait for more freedom once it's over. Once it's done I will have more freedom to do the things I want. Some of which include hanging out with my friends more, attending more work functions, and getting my writing together again. I also can't wait to go on vacation in July to visit my best friend, Jen again. I miss you Jen! We are going to have so much fun this year... LOL no crying when I leave... :)

You Should Be a Film Writer

You don't just create compelling stories, you see them as clearly as a movie in your mind.
You have a knack for details and dialogue. You can really make a character come to life.
Chances are, you enjoy creating all types of stories. The joy is in the storytelling.
And nothing would please you more than millions of people seeing your story on the big screen!

Well finally heard back from FASA, not eligible due to whatever. So people who live on welfare, etc who are cheating the system can get to go to school, while I have to suffer paying my way through. This government is unbelievable. While 500 billion goes to fight war, American students can’t go to college. To actually think I can make it by myself with the wages I make for food, transportation, etc. So now I have to see what I'm actually going to do to put myself through school. I've tried scholarships, but nothing ever worked from any of that. I will probably have to get a loan and spend the rest of life paying it off.

Now that I'm done, venting that...

My computer ate the big one about two weeks ago. Thank goodness for my Iomega backup hard drive and my laptop. Other than that lost a few pictures and stuff. Not to mention this week, the back up drive ate it so I am having it replaced as we speak. I lost everything I backed on my drive. Never seems that things can go good… I retrieved some stuff from it. Then I had a death in our family, an aunt from my mother’s side. It seems that my poor mother’s side keeps getting smaller due to cancer, etc. I guess also the stress of work and everything finally caught up with me... cuz then I ended up with food poisoning! 4 days in bed with meds and crappy food. Thank God, I’m back to normal and can eat.

The good….

I am still enjoying my beautiful ipod video. I just love having all my favorite music at my fingertips. I also keep finding great skins to protect it in. Some I’ve experimented with and others I love. Try Iskin.com, it’s one of my favs to shop at. Although it’s a bit pricey, it’s worth the great skins. I had the old evo wildsides rebel skin. I just love the fact that it glowed and had a screen protector and was just plain sweet. I love eBay for that fact that I can also do searches to find neat stuff for my ipod. I’ve quite the collection for all things ipod now, idog (Christmas gift), a couple of different skins, two battery backups and the docking station for loading the songs. I also finally decided to part with my old 20gig. I sold it on eBay along with the fm transmitter. I got a new transmitter for my new ipod on eBay for less then buying it through the store. I used the money to buy the bigger 60gig ipod video. I’m keeping my 30gig ipod video as a backup. What ipod’s are doing to me!

Writing...

Writing hasn’t been great as of late, but I am reading a lot of books and especially writing books. I’ve had two great writing classes and am taking another in April. They have made me think and have helped me get back into the editing process. I am still determined to doing something with my writing even if it means self publishing some of my poetry first with my own money.

Other life…

Things have been ok. Still bits lonely since my friends haven’t been around or really kept in touch with me here. I guess maybe that will turn around since spring is coming. Who knows.. I also need to find out what to do with my vacation that I have coming to me. My mom has also been sick and has been home to help and be with her. She’s been doing real well. Still feisty as ever and doesn’t let things slow her down. Job is busy, sometimes I still wonder why an office job. Once I get some more college education, I can move on to somewhere where I feel I belong more than in cubicle.

That’s it! Have a good night. :-)

Presiden'ts Day..

Today has been an ok day. Been bored a bit, but took care of that by cleaning the entire house. I should start writing, but haven't yet. I have been doing well in my classes. I've also made a friend whose name is Hope. She's real nice and it's great to talk to someone about writing who actually is similar to you in some way. Over the weekend, I went shopping and bought some very nice clothes to go out in and work in. I also sold some of my stuff on ebay, which I cleaned and ready to ship at the post office. I have a couple of books to put on amazon to see if I can sell them. Other than that I'm waiting to hear back soon enough from the dept. of education regarding my FASA. Hopefully something good comes out of it. I also should do my taxes and hopefully something good comes out of that. I really hate paying out money even though I feel I don't get much for it. So that's about it....
